We didn't go trick or treating

Not because we don't do Halloween. We usually have no problems with a little trick or treating up and down the street and we did go to the church Trunk or Treat on Sunday evening. No we didn't go trick or treating tonight because the kids were bad. It was one of those days that make mommies want to pull their hair out. It was a didn't I just spank you about that kind of day. So I had to be the meanie and stand firm and draw the line in the sand...and I feel mean. But I do think I got my point across and maybe they'll remember and maybe I'll only have to be the meanie about a billion more times and then they'll really get it, right? Right? They will eventually get it, right? I sure am praying they catch on before my will power wears out, y'all!

UGH! I hate days like that.

I remember making a similar decision when my kiddos were smaller. The only problem was it involved dinner at someone else's house. They were furious at our decision. They have been very vocal about never inviting us to their house for dinner again, because of it. It made me so sad. It never occurred to me that they wouldn't have made the same decision, as well. :(

BUT, my children learned SO much from my choice. I know your kiddos will, as well.

You're doing the hard - but good work -my friend. Keep at it!

Thanks, shug. I felt like I deserved the meanest mommy of the year award, but they did learn a lesson.
It's extra hard when people critisize your decisions, isn't it? Glad I'm not the only one to deal with that.

It's good to see you sticking to your guns with the disciplining, it will all be so worth it. The photo of your baby is great and I also love the idea of the library card! I take my son to the library every now and again to do some home schooling, just for the change of scenery and we both like it. God bless.
